The Liquids HCA Tool, part of ENTRUST’s pipeline integrity management software suite, aids operators in risk management, compliance, and performance optimization for hazardous liquids pipelines. It complies with 49 CFR ยง195.452, determining segments that could affect high-consequence areas. The tool simulates hydrocarbon plume transport for both overland flow and hydrographic transport mechanisms.
For overland flow simulations, a customized version of GeoClaw, an open-source Computational Fluid Dynamics package, is employed, incorporating Adaptive Mesh Refinement and the Darcy-Weisbach equation for friction factor calculation. This modification allows the modeling of fluids other than water, crucial for the varying fluid densities and viscosities that characterize hydrocarbons. Utilizing GeoClaw enables effective utilization of high-resolution digital elevation data from the USGS 3D Elevation Program (3DEP).
The hydrographic transport engine employs Esri’s Network Analyst technology for downstream trace calculations, which is particularly beneficial in areas with complex drainage networks. The Liquids HCA Tool provides highly configurable analytical workflows, implemented in Esri’s ArcGIS Geoprocessing framework, allowing desktop usage or integration into web apps. Licensing options include traditional perpetual licenses and software subscriptions, providing flexibility to users. EN Data Solutions can also perform Liquids HCA Tool analysis for you on a services basis. Overall, the Liquids HCA Tool offers advanced and adaptable capabilities for precise release plume modeling, aiding emergency response planning.
Our Pipeline Integrity Management System (PIMS) suite offers best-in-class software that provides modern, scalable, and accurate tools to facilitate superior pipeline integrity management for pipeline operators. Our PIMS ILI Data Integration Tool enables operators to fully utilize inline inspection (ILI) data in support of pipeline integrity management activities.
The PIMS ILI Data Integration Tool leverages the full power of Esri GIS technology when addressing the complicated challenge of tracking pipeline anomalies through time and across multiple generations of ILI assessments. Rather than relying on a human expert to manually correlate a set of handpicked anomalies across multiple ILI runs, the PIMS ILI Data Integration Tool uses GIS-based spatial proximity analysis to evaluate and process all anomalies across each ILI run of interest. This repeatable and consistent GIS-based, anomaly-matching and correlation process results in statistically significant corrosion growth rate calculations. It also provides operators with a deeper, more informed understanding of pipeline asset condition and remaining life.
The PIMS ILI Data Integration Tool is implemented as ArcGIS Pro geoprocessing tools and a Python Conda package for maximum flexibility in deployment and use. It is fully compatible with the Pipeline Open Data Standard (PODS) and Esri Utility and Pipeline Data Model (UPDM) storage models, and also the Esri Location Referencing and Utility Network information models. Licensing options are flexible, accommodating perpetual licenses and software subscriptions, with a License toolset for easy software licensing management. EN Data Solutions can also perform PIMS ILI Data Integration Tool analysis for you on a service basis.
DynaSeg is specialized dynamic segmentation software by EN Data Solutions. It optimizes pipeline data usage from complex industry data models like PODS and Esri UPDM. The software is tightly integrated into the Esri platform, supporting various data formats and living in ArcToolbox. It overcomes the limitations of Esri’s out-of-the-box dynamic segmentation tools, particularly handling overlapping linear features in a single-source input layer. DynaSeg offers various query, sort, filtering, and data aggregation methods to process overlapping features. It is a versatile toolkit, useful for pipeline operators in various scenarios, including maximum allowable operating pressure (MAOP) calculations, risk analysis data conditioning, National Pipeline Mapping System (NPMS) submissions, DOT annual reporting, and more. The software enables report automation through scripting and workflow integration. DynaSeg provides powerful tools for data extraction, recombination, analysis, and presentation, offering enhanced functionality to data management. The workflow involves planning, specifying analysis parameters, and running the analysis for reporting. Licensing options include traditional perpetual licenses and software subscriptions, providing flexibility to users.

With the adoption of new regulations related to ruptures and Rupture Mitigation Valves (RMVs), gas transmission operators are tasked with updating and coming into compliance with rupture mitigation plans following 49 CFR 192. The Rupture Mitigation Valve Tool is an automated tool developed by ENTRUST Solutions Group that can be tailored to client data to identify locations requiring RMVs. Once areas are identified, the tool optimizes the sections to install RMVs. The application works by inputting formatted GIS data, identifying, and then optimizing potential RMV locations and outputting the selected upgrades as a new GIS layer. The automated tool can significantly decrease the effort and time to identify locations for potential RMVs and decrease non-conformity in the selection process. These GIS layer outputs help support operators in making enhanced business decisions.
